Honda Civic Hybrid one of the best for the money
Thursday Oct 02 2008 - Recognized as one of the top automotive journalists in North America, the awarding winning Jeremy Cato has good things to say about the gas and money saving Honda Civic Hybrid. In a recent column appearing on Autos.CTV.ca, Mr. Cato had this to say about the gas stingy Civic Hybrid: “A hybrid Honda Civic would be almost $4,000 cheaper than the conventional Civic EX to operate over five years, assuming an average gas price of $1.40 per litre and 20,000 km per year of driving …” Since introducing the first hybrid car to North America in 1999 with the revolutionary Honda Insight, Honda now has three more hybrids in the works. Quality is improving too. Cato said in his hybrid article: “Batteries are getting stronger and more durable, engines are better tuned for the job and engineers are creating more sophisticated controls that integrate the dual power trains more smoothly.”
