Another fuel-cell star is born – Honda FCX Clarity
Wednesday Aug 13 2008 - As reported in the Los Angeles Times, movie star Jamie Lee Curtis has just taken delivery of her new Honda FCX Clarity fuel-cell vehicle that is powered by hydrogen. Curtis and her filmmaker husband Christopher Guest are the second of approximately 200 customers who will begin leasing the FCX in California over the next three years. The FCX Clarity is a next-generation, hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle. Propelled by an electric motor that runs on electricity generated in the fuel cell, the vehicle’s only by-products are heat and water, and its fuel efficiency is three times that of a modern gasoline powered automobile. After taking delivery of her new Honda FCX Clarity, Curtis was very happy: “I really wasn’t expecting it to be so luxurious,” she said. “It is user-friendly and very modern”.
